Since it is an add-on ECM, it uses all the factory data and then enhances the factory settings to optimize your truck’s performance. The Edge Juice features engine temperature monitoring and power increase from the module as engine reaches operating temperature. With four selectable power levels, the Edge Juice module offers a large power increase over stock throughout the RPR range, but the power is more Noticeable in the midrange RPM’s. This greatly improves driveability and towing Performance. Transmission downshifting is greatly reduced, especially while passing or towing. The Edge Juice module also regulates power delivery and timing based on engine temperature. This means that while the engine temperature is below 160 degrees Fahrenheit, no additional fueling or timing is delivered. This enables the Edge Juice Module to provide smooth and precise power curves that are truly custom, rather than just an offset from stock. The Edge Juice Module also monitors the transmission slippage when the torque converter clutch is engaged. The level of additional power is decreased if any slippage is detected. This prevents damage from being caused to the transmission, and also prevents the power train from erroneously generating fault codes and entering “limp mode”. The Edge Juice Module also limits the amount of power increase during transmission shifts when the torque converter clutch is engaged and also when the torque converter clutch is being engaged. This allows the torque converter clutch to engage without slipping. When used in conjunction with the Edge Juice with Attitude monitor you can control the five power levels on-the-fly from inside your truck. The Edge Juice with Attitude displays all the information a complete set of gauges would and will automatically monitor and display exhaust gas temperature (EGT), turbo boost and transmission slip and de-fuel the engine to prevent excessive EGT, boost levels or transmission slippage. It also displays 0 – 60 times, quarter mile times and actual speed if you are using non-stock tires as well as a host of other parameters. The Edge Juice Module communicates directly with the engine’s ECM, from which it receives vital engine and fuel system information. This enables the Edge Juice Module to provide smooth and precise power in real time under any driving condition.
